A bartender is making the rounds on Twitter for all the wrong reasons.

In a pair of videos tweeted by @davenewworld_2, a bartender in Osage Beach, MO allegedly destroyed a person’s military ID because he thought it was fake. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

In the video he appeared to crumble it up, and literally toss it aside.

In the second video, it appeared the man started to recognize that he’d made a mistake, and it sounded like a cop eventually entered the fray to try to smooth everything over.

As weird as this might sound, I actually once witnessed pretty much this exact same thing happen. Some bartenders and bouncers have no idea what they’re doing with a military ID.

I watched a guy’s military ID get legit snapped in half by some moron bouncer in Madison because he thought it was fake and didn’t bother taking two seconds to find out.

That’s pretty much the same thing that happened here. Granted, we don’t know what happened to kick this situation off or what might have been said, but that bartender was cranked up about fake IDs without taking a second to think.

If you really think an ID is fake, then just call the cops and let them deal with it. There’s no reason to make it super complicated. The cops have a job to do. Let them do it. Don’t start playing the role of the hero.

You’re literally surrounded by alcohol! Grab a drink and relax.
