A suspect was taken into custody in connection with a fatal shooting at an immigration office in Orlando, Florida, Monday, according to law enforcement officials.
Officials opened an investigation into a deadly shooting at a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office near the Orlando International Airport, Spectrum News 13 reported.
A man allegedly drove up to the office as a man and woman were entering the building and opened fire on the pair, Lt. Diego Toruno said. The man died on the scene while the woman was able to escape.

The male suspect fled in his vehicle and a police chase followed until the suspect was eventually taken into custody, Toruno said.
People inside the USCIS office thought the building was being targeted and that “somebody was coming inside to shoot up the place,” Bonnie Brandao told the Orlando Sentinel. Brandao was scheduled to take a citizenship test at the office Monday morning, her husband was waiting outside the building for her and witnessed the shooting.
“We can confirm that a suspect in this investigation is now in OPD’s custody,” the Orlando Police Department said. (RELATED: Illegal Immigrant Fatally Shoots Woman And Then Himself In Front Of Her 3-Year-Old, ICE Says)
