Donald Glover thinks the fear of being canceled is what’s stopping great entertainment from happening.

During a tweet thread early Tuesday morning, the star actor and singer said that the fear of “getting canceled” is stopping people from pushing the limits and experimenting. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

“We’re getting boring stuff and not even experimental mistakes(?) because people are afraid of getting cancelled,” the former “Community” star wrote.

People are waking up to reality, folks! That’s good news. We need more and more people speaking out about the nonsense that is cancel culture.

Think about how many awesome movies would never be made today. “Superbad” and “The Hangover” are two iconic comedies from the past two decades, and both makes jokes about drugs, sex and alcohol. Would they get made today? I doubt it, and they’re both great.

What about the HBO classics “Entourage” and “Eastbound & Down”? I have a feeling they’d both be canceled before airing a single second.

“Entourage” creator Doug Ellin has admitted as much.

People no longer want to make jokes because they fear repercussions, or stupid think pieces from graduates of liberal arts colleges with $300,000 in debt to complain about entertainment they don’t like.

It’s also both sides that do this nonsense. Remember when Pete Davidson had the audacity to make a joke and some on the right tried to cancel him forever.

That was honestly one of the most pathetic things I’ve ever witnessed.

We need to get back to pushing the limits, and we need to do it ASAP. If we worry about offending people, then our entertainment will suck. It’s that simple. I’d rather laugh and ignore the haters than let people with no joy dictate what I can and can’t watch.
