Bill Gates reportedly really liked to party back in the day.
According to the New York Post, biographer James Wallace claimed in his 1997 book “Overdrive: Bill Gates and the Race to Control Cyberspace” that the iconic tech genius would throw wild pool parties during his younger years. Just how wild are we talking? According to Wallace, Gates would throw nude swimming parties at his Seattle home and get local strippers to attend.
The old story has been dug up amid a big divorce between Bill and Melinda, which could result in billions of dollars being divided up.

The autobiography also claimed that Gates continued his wild ways after meeting Melinda, but eventually chilled out once getting married.
He also was known to have spent private time annually with his former girlfriend after marrying Melinda.

All things considered, nude pool parties aren’t really a big deal in the grand scheme of things. It’s not like he was out there in his youth running drugs or hurting people.
The man allegedly liked to party. Big deal. Anyone who has ever seen Erlich on “Silicon Valley” knows that partying is common in the industry.
It’s the nature of the beast.
Will people try to make a huge deal out of this? Maybe. Should they? Absolutely not. It’s in the past, he’s moved on and he’s now getting divorced. Let the man live a little.
