The Los Angeles Police Department has reportedly opened an investigation into rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny after the pair were accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman.

The LAPD opened their investigation into the couple in April, the Daily Beast reported Tuesday.

The unidentified woman first accused T.I. and his wife back in March, but new details emerged in the Daily Beast’s report. (RELATED: REPORT: Rapper T.I. Not Returning For ‘Ant-Man 3’ Amid Sexual Assault Allegations)

The woman claimed T.I. and Tiny drugged her drink while spending time with the couple in a hotel room and that she became sick. Later, the three allegedly engaged in sexual acts despite the unidentified woman telling T.I. “no,” according to the Daily Beast. Following the sexual acts, the woman allegedly became sick in the bathroom, the Daily Beast further reported.

T.I. and Tiny denied the allegations at the time, as previously reported.

“[T.I.] and [Tiny] deny in the strongest possible terms these unsubstantiated and baseless allegations,” the couple’s defense attorney Steve Sadow told Page Six in a statement. “We are confident that if these claims are thoroughly and fairly investigated, no charges will be forthcoming.”

“These allegations are nothing more than the continuation of a sordid shakedown campaign that began on social media,” Sadow reportedly continued. “The Harrises implore everyone not to be taken in by these obvious attempts to manipulate the press and misuse the justice system.”
