The Jake Paul/Tyron Woodley fight is officially on.

It was reported late Monday that Paul had reached a deal to box against the former UFC star, and it’s now officially on the books for August 28. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Paul wrote the following in part Tuesday:

I have a list of people I plan on knocking out and as I enter my fourth pro fight, I am excited to cross the first one off the list by challenging myself against @twooodley a 5 time UFC Champion known for his knockout power. Tyron ran his mouth a little too much in the locker room when I knocked out his best friend Ben and earned himself a top spot on the Problem Child death list. Tyron’s a seasoned striker who has fought the best MMA fighters in the world but will be dropped by a Disney teen star in 2 rounds.

Well, there it is, folks. It’s officially a done deal, and I can’t wait to see what happens. I truly have no idea what to expect.

Say whatever you want about Jake Paul, but the fact that he has agreed to fight a dude with legit power is impressive.

Ben Askren might have been a great MMA fighter, but he wasn’t a striker. Paul will be facing a very different beast August 28.

Having said all of that, I still hope like hell Woodley crushes him, and I know most people agree with me. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that it happens!
