This is a huge loss for the football community, and it comes at a relatively young age for Fassel. He was the head coach of the Giants for several seasons and also had several other stints in the NFL and at the college level.
His best season came in 2000 when the Giants fell to the Ravens in the Super Bowl.

Now, at the age of 71, he’s passed onto the other side after a great life that impacted many in the world of football.
Death is never easy, and it’s certainly not easy when someone dies suddenly because of a heart attack.
Very sad news: Jim Fassel has died. He was NFL Coach of the Year in 1997, and a good man.
