President Joe Biden’s nominee for director of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Kiran Ahuja, has been an outspoken advocate for critical race theory and anti-racism.

Critical race theory (CRT) holds that America is fundamentally racist, yet it teaches people to view every social interaction and person in terms of race. Its adherents pursue “antiracism” through the end of merit, objective truth and the adoption of race-based policies. Senate Republicans such as Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley are attempting to delay or prevent Ahuja’s confirmation because of her extensive history with CRT. If confirmed as OPM director, Ahuja could open take the Biden administration’s efforts to open the government’s doors further to peddlers of CRT, given OPM provides guidance on diversity and inclusion initiatives and trainings throughout the federal government.
