Boston Named The Best City In America For Hockey Fans

Boston, Massachusetts, has been named the best city in America for hockey fans.

WalletHub named the home of the Boston Bruins the best city for fans in the country based on the fact that there is a legendary NHL squad there and multiple college teams in the state. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Detroit, Pittsburgh, New York and St. Louis rounded out the top five.

While I’ve never been to Boston to see a Bruins game, I know plenty of Bruins fans, and they’re very passionate hockey fans.

I don’t find it hard to believe at all Boston is the best city in America for hockey fans, especially when you factor the several dominant college teams in Massachusetts.

Detroit coming in second also makes a bunch of sense. The Red Wings are one of the winningest teams in league history and have won multiple Stanley Cups.

Back in the 1990s, there was no team more feared than the Red Wings. Unfortunately, the Red Wings have fallen off of a cliff in recent years, but that doesn’t mean the fans still aren’t passionate as all hell.

The fact we’re nearing the Stanley Cup Final only makes this list that much more important. Make sure to catch the Knights vs. the Canadiens tonight on NBCSN!
