Eli Manning has returned to the New York Giants.

The team that Eli Manning won two Super Bowls with announced Monday that he’s returned to the franchise in a business operations and “fan engagement role.” (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The Giants also announced that Eli will have his jersey retired by the team September 26.

This is a really smart move from the Giants. Eli is the most famous player in the history of the franchise, and he won the Giants two Super Bowls.

When you think of the New York Giants, you think of Eli Manning. It’s that simple.

Now, Eli Manning will be around to help with business operations and fan engagement. I’m guessing that more than anything, it means Peyton’s younger brother will be used for marketing opportunities.

Not a bad post-retirement from the NFL job.

No matter what, the more Eli is around with the Giants, the better it is for the team and the fanbase. Smart move all the way around.
