“Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke understands why people were so mad at the ending.

Clarke played Daenerys in the legendary HBO show, and her death in the series finale upset a lot of fans. In fact, the entire final season was underwhelming, and she understands the outrage. (REVIEW: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Ends With The Possible Deaths Of Multiple Characters)

“I get why people were pissed. I totally get it, but me being the actor, you can’t do justice to the character that you poured your blood, sweat and tears into for a decade without getting on the same page,” Clarke explained during a recent interview with Josh Horowitz.

She understands the outrage? Well, she damn sure should understand the outrage. She was arguably the most famous person on the show!

Clarke played the woman many thought would sit on the Iron Throne. Instead, season eight was trash, Jon Snow murdered her and then everyone just went their separate ways.

It was hot trash.

Fans invested years and years of our lives into “Game of Thrones.” It was the most culturally relevant show on TV for years.
