During bumper-to-bumper traffic in Louisiana, a man decided to try his luck fishing from the bridge, video shows.

The man was videotaped reeling in his fishing pole over the Bonne Carre Spillway in New Orleans on Tuesday morning, according to Fox 8.

An accident involving multiple 18-wheelers shut down the spillway just before 9:30 a.m., resulting in 50-60 gallons of diesel spilled, according to Fox 8.

Many people were stuck in traffic for hours, as recovery efforts began around noon, Fox 8 reported.

The unidentified man, who was stuck on the bridge, decided to kill time by fishing. A woman who was stuck in the traffic said she and her daughter were waiting for more than two hours, causing her daughter to miss her flight to Disney.
