Former star receiver Demaryius Thomas has retired from the NFL.

The former Broncos superstar announced in a video released by the franchise Monday that he’s decided to hang up his cleats. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

“I’ve finally come to a decision to hang it up. I’m going to retire, and I’m going to retire a Denver Bronco,” Thomas, who didn’t play in 2020, said when explaining his decision. You can watch his retirement video below.

Ever since Thomas entered the league in 2010 with the Broncos, he was a hell of a player on the field, and he was Denver’s best weapon for several seasons.

He was fast, big, incredibly strong and had great hands. It were those great skills that helped him appear in multiple Pro Bowls and earn a Super Bowl ring.

He was truly a freak on the field, and after a decade catching balls on the gridiron, it’s all over for Thomas, who also played for the Texans, Patriots and Jets.

The good news for him is that he shouldn’t need any new money in the immediate future. He made nearly $75 million during his career! That’s a ton of cash.

Props to Thomas on a great career in the NFL, and I hope he enjoys retirement. He’s certainly earned it!
