Republican Virginia Rep. Bob Good will introduce legislation Monday that would block taxpayer funding for a chain-migration program reinstated by the Biden-Harris administration.

The Daily Caller first obtained the bill, titled the “No Taxpayer Funding for the Central American Minors Program.” The bill focuses on the Central American Minors (CAM) Program, which was reinstituted by President Joe Biden’s administration and allows millions of individuals illegally crossing the border to be able to petition the government to have their relatives transported to the U.S. using taxpayer money.

The Biden administration reinstated and expanded the CAM Program in March, which was created under the former President Barack Obama’s administration and ended by former President Donald Trump. On June 15, 2021 the Department of Homeland Security and the State Department issued a joint statement announcing an expansion of the chain migration program.

“President Biden’s new government program will force American taxpayers to foot the bill to airlift and relocate illegal aliens’ relatives to the United States,” Good told the Daily Caller before submitting the bill. “This is another disgraceful example of the Biden administration’s effort to dissolve our southern border and reverse successful America first policies.”

Border patrol apprehended 180,000 migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border in May, following 178,000 in April and 173,000 in March. Meanwhile, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deported the fewest number of illegal immigrants in the agency’s history. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Sen.
