Sporting News recently showed Wisconsin football coach Paul Chryst a bit of disrespect.

The popular sports publication released its rankings for every college football coach in America, and Chryst slid in at 17th. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

As expected, Nick Saban and Dabo Swinney took the top two spots.

I really don’t understand how people truly believe that Chryst isn’t a top-10 coach. As I’ve said many times, on his worst day, he’s still in the top 15.

I truly believe that. I’d take Paul Chryst coaching a terrible game over pretty much any other coach in America that isn’t a guy who has won a national title.

Look at the talent Chryst has with the Badgers, and then look at his record with the program. He’s 56-19 in Madison with players who were mostly overlooked by the likes of Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State when they came out of high school.

Yet, I’m supposed to believe that he’s only the 17th-best coach in America? Give me a break. That’s laughably disrespectful.

Per usual, Chryst and the Badgers never get the respect that we deserve. Don’t worry. I’m keeping a list, and we’ll see who is laughing when the season is all over!
