“Freaky” is an incredibly fun movie.
This past Sunday afternoon after another weekend of fun and work, my girlfriend and I decided to throw on the movie with Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton. (REVIEW: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Ends With The Possible Deaths Of Multiple Characters)
It recently dropped on HBO Max and as a huge fan of Vaughn’s work, I wanted to give it a shot. Well, it didn’t disappoint at all.
The premise is very simple. A serial killer (Vaughn) swaps bodies with his intended victim (Newton) after a little magic thanks to a knife. The details really aren’t all that important or drawn out.
It’s a horror comedy film. It’s not meant to be taken seriously.

Having said that, it was a ton of fun watching the plot unfold as the teenage girl now in Vaughn’s body fought to get her body back.

“Freaky” is funny, entertaining, keeps you guessing to a reasonable degree and is really great mindless entertainment.
Is it going to win any awards? No, but that doesn’t matter. A movie can still be a ton of fun, even if it’s not award-worthy.

So, if you’re looking for something fun to watch, I suggest you fire up HBO Max and watch “Freaky.” You won’t regret it!
