Tuesday is LSU football coach Ed Orgeron’s 60th birthday!
On July 27, 1961, Coach O entered this world, and we all know what happened over the next 60 years. Orgeron became an outstanding college football coach. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

After being pushed out the door at Ole Miss and being passed over at USC, Coach O got another shot at being a head coach when LSU fired Les Miles.
In 2019, he won a national title with Joe Burrow and the Tigers, and I think it’s more than fair to say he’s cemented himself as one of the best coaches in America.
Not only is Coach O an outstanding guy when it comes to winning football games, but he’s also a content machine.
The dude moves the needle in a way that very few do in the world of college sports.

Furthermore, when the war to save college football started in 2020, Coach O didn’t hesitate to get in the fight and lead the way in Louisiana.
For that alone, he’s a star in my book.
