With Oklahoma and Texas ditching the Big 12 for the SEC, conferences across America are bracing for major changes, and that likely includes expansion. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The PAC-12 is prepared for whatever happens, and a decision will likely come in the near future. PAC-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff told the Las Vegas Journal Review the following about making decisions on the future:
There’s no hard deadline related to any of this, but I would say I don’t think it’s good for college athletics given the vibration that’s going on as a result of the Texas and Oklahoma news. The quicker we can dampen that vibration, the better. We will have a decision on whether we intend to expand or not in the next couple of weeks.
If I had to bet, I’d bet that the PAC-12 probably doesn’t expand. One scenario that’s often talked about is raiding the Big 12.
I’m not sure that’s going to happen. Who in the Big 12 would the PAC-12 really want? There’s no obvious answer.
If there’s no obvious answer, it’s probably better to do nothing.

There’s also been chatter about forming some kind of alliance or cutting a deal with the Big Ten and ACC. I’m not sure anyone knows what that would look like, but it’s definitely more likely than the PAC-12 adding more teams.
