Would I be happy with Wisconsin making the Rose Bowl? I would be satisfied, but I do expect better. Don’t get me wrong on this issue.
The Rose Bowl is a hell of a great bowl game, and any fan should be excited to play in it. Yet, I just expect more out of this Wisconsin team.

Fans are growing sick and tired of our 10+ win seasons but no playoff appearances. Does that sound selfish? For sure, and I’m not going to pretend it’s not.
The reality is simply that fans have come to expect the Badgers to take the next step forward. That means we have to make the playoff and compete for a national title.
Winning the whole thing is why we play the game. We don’t just play the game to play. We play to bring a championship home.
The football season is almost here, and lots of people are asking what I think Wisconsin will do this year.
The answer is simple. I expect absolute domination in the Big Ten. Anyone who doubts me, bookmark this tweet and see me in December. We’ll see who is laughing then. pic.twitter.com/EbSjXo7LnK

So, I’ll be okay with playing in the Rose Bowl, but I damn sure expect to be playing in the playoff.
