Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill has found himself with a coronavirus issue.
The team announced Thursday morning that Tannehill, who is vaccinated, is on the league’s COVID-19 list. He’ll now be out for at least five days and can return after producing two negative tests, according to ESPN. Another guy in the NFL who is vaccinated has run into coronavirus issues. It’s starting to look like the NFL might have greatly underestimated what would happen if pretty much the whole league got vaccinated.
Instead of having very few issues, it seems like we’ve had a surprisingly high number of players who have tested positive or have had close contact issues.
Now, Tannehill is out for at least five days.
Titans are placing QB Ryan Tannehill on the Reserve/COVID 19 list, per source. He now will miss anywhere from 5-10 days, depending on his status.

At this point, you’d have to be living with your head in the sand to not think that there are going to be several vaccinated players who test positive during the season.
Remember, the vaccine doesn’t 100% guarantee that you don’t get COVID-19. It just offers enhanced protection against symptoms and should keep you out of the hospital.
So, prepare for issues this season.
I’m told everyone with the #Titans — vaccinated or not — has been getting tested in recent days in light of COVID cases, including coach Mike Vrabel. The team worked virtually Wednesday and hoped to be back to normal today. Now QB Ryan Tannehill joins the list. A “cluster”.

At the same time, I fully expect the season to roll forward with plenty of success. We just have to get past bumps in the road.
