The Chicago Police Department is investigating an officer who was caught on video Saturday morning tackling a black woman walking her dog.

where a woman tried to record an interaction with an unnamed officer before he allegedly tackled her “for absolutely no reason,” on Saturday morning, according to the woman’s attorneys.

The officer allegedly grabbed Nikkita Brown, who was walking her dog in a park after it was closed around midnight, “for absolutely no reason,” Brown’s attorneys at Saulter Law argued. At least three videos released by the firm appear to show the officer struggling with Brown for around two minutes before she’s allowed to leave.

“He attempts to tackle her, all while groping her body as she screams for help,” Saulter Law said in a statement. “This unprovoked attack lasts for approximately two minutes, during this time Ms. Brown’s phone is knocked from her hands and she is knocked out of her shoes.”

Brown allegedly told the officer she was leaving the park and asked him to comply with social distancing rules since he was not wearing a mask. Then, what appears to be her own recording stopped.

Other groups walking around the park recorded the incident, as well. It is unclear whether the officer interacted with them. (RELATED: Chicago Police Officer Charged For Alleged Participation In Jan 6 Capitol Riot)

“This was an obvious case of racial profiling,” Saulter Law said in a statement. Brown called 911 to report the incident after she got home, “while she was still hysterical and traumatized from this encounter.”

A police sergeant said the Chicago PD would deliver a copy of Brown’s report to her home shortly after it was written, though she hadn’t received it as of Sunday, according to Saulter Law.

The Chicago Police Department did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
