A ref caused Arizona Cardinals receiver Rondale Moore to muff a punt Sunday against the Jaguars.
During the 31-19 win for Arizona, a ref threw his flag on the punt, and his flag hit the ball fractions of second before Moore attempted to catch it. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
Due to the flag hitting the ball, it was knocked off its trajectory and Moore fumbled it at the last moment. Watch the insane situation unfold below.

What an absolutely wild situation. Seriously, what are the odds a ref would throw a flag and it’d end up hitting the ball.
The answer is that the odds are astronomically low.

If you’re a punt returner, the last thing you can afford to do is muff kicks and punts. That’s just a fact. Not catching balls is a great way to end up unemployed.
However, you can’t really be mad about this one if you’re the Cardinals. It literally wasn’t Moore’s fault at all.
It was 100% on the ref.

Next time, the official should dial his arm back a bit before uncorking a rocket of a flag throw.
