I’m not surprised at all that the numbers are so gigantic. I think we all knew Tom Brady returning to Gillette Stadium would put up monster ratings.

After all, it was the biggest game of the weekend and it’s not hard to understand why the game had so many viewers.

Brady won six Super Bowls with the Patriots over the course of 20 years, and then he left for the Buccaneers. As soon as he linked up with Bruce Arians, he won another Super Bowl and then returned to Foxborough as an opposing QB.

It was a storyline right out of Hollywood, and the game being way closer than expected didn’t disappoint.
