Virginia Tech has shown football coach Justin Fuente the exit.

Because the Hokies didn’t wait until December 15 to get rid of Fuente, they now owe him a staggering $10 million buyout, according to Pete Thamel.

I think a lot of people assumed that this would be Fuente’s last season with the Hokies, and it’s now a done deal.
Fuente is out the door and VT now has to find a new coach. It’s not even noon yet and shockwaves are being sent through the sport.

Virginia Tech has an incredibly passionate fan base and they deserve to have a better football program than what they’ve seen on the field the past few years.
A change had to be made, and the Hokies pulled the trigger on it happening this morning.

The question now is who they’ll go after next. Give the fact it’s a major ACC program, they should be able to attract several big names.
