Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy hit back at commentator Keith Olbermann Wednesday after Olbermann linked Tuesday’s shooting at Oxford High School in Michigan to Portnoy and Barstool’s “Trumpist Fascism.”

“Dude wtf is wrong with you?” Portnoy responded to Olbermann.

Portnoy’s comment followed Olbermann retweeting an article from Barstool that highlighted Tate Myre, one of the school shooting victims, that is believed to have tried to stop the gunman.

“This kid died to stop a school shooter whose mother echoed the Trumpist Fascism of @stoolpresidente and @barstoolsports,” Olbermann wrote.

Four students, including 16-year-old Myre died as a result of the shooting. The suspect is a 15-year-old sophomore Ethan Crumbley. (RELATED: Michigan High School Student Reportedly Rushed School Shooter And Sacrificed His Life To Save Fellow Classmates)

A video posted to TikTok showed students escaping from their classroom via a window after a male voice at the door assured them it was safe to come out.

“Come open the door bro,” the male voice said. The students comment on the use of the word bro as a “red flag” before exiting through the window to safety.

Reports have indicated that the alleged suspect recorded videos the night before the shooting, saying he “planned to kill students at school the next day.”

In a press conference held Wednesday, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said police were told the school “had contact” with the alleged suspect both the “day before and day of the shooting for behavior in the classroom they felt was concerning.”
