The Raiders beating the Chargers 35-32 in overtime put up some big TV ratings Sunday night.

According to TVSeriesFinale.com, the Chargers losing in stunning fashion to the Raiders and Derek Carr averaged 14.73 million viewers on NBC in the early data. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Due to the fact it was a live sporting event, the final viewership number will be higher.

Well, the regular season is in the books, and the NFL absolutely crushed it all year when it came to putting up big TV ratings.

Say whatever you want about Roger Goodell, but he knows how to maximize the NFL’s visibility and stack up cash.

I’m also sure a lot of people tuned in to see whether or not the Raiders and Chargers would tie in order to both get in the playoffs.

The Raiders were going to knee it before the Chargers called an all-time stupid timeout. The Raiders hit a game-winning field goal and the rest is history.

Now, it’s time to see what kind of ratings the playoffs get. As a betting man, I bet they’ll be huge!
