Deion Sanders apparently flirted with the idea of taking over a major college football program.

Sanders, who is currently the head coach at FCS Jackson State revealed during an interview with Dan Le Batard that he’s interviewed for three different Power Five jobs. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

When asked to list them, Sanders didn’t hesitate and revealed he was interviewed by Florida State, Arkansas and TCU during different points of his career.

You can listen to him break down the full situation below.

I truly do believe that Sanders will eventually be the head coach at a major P5 program. When will it happen?

I don’t know, but I truly feel like we will see Sanders take over a big program at some point in the future.

He put Jackson State on the map in absolutely no time, landed the number one recruit in the country and has been putting together outstanding classes.

When compared to most FCS programs, it’s not fair how much talent Sanders is putting together in Jackson, and he’s putting a spotlight on the team.

Eventually, a bigger team is going to take notice, want to get in on his energy and hire him. If you’re a P5 team that is struggling to be relevant, why wouldn’t you hire Sanders? Why not make a bold choice?

He was a star in the NFL and he clearly knows how to win at the level below the FBS. Somebody needs to have the guts to hire him.
