Amy Schumer had an all-time stupid idea involving Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Oscars.

Schumer is one of the hosts for the Academy Awards this upcoming Sunday, and she apparently thought Zelenskyy addressing the crowd while fighting a war against Russia was a good idea! (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

“I actually pitched, I wanted to find a way to have Zelenskyy satellite in or make a tape or something just because there are so many eyes on the Oscars,” Schumer explained during an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” according to CNN.

This is a prime example of why Hollywood is such a damn joke. Ukraine is fighting for its very existence against Putin’s forces, and both sides are taking casualties.

Why the hell would Zelenskyy want to waste time addressing an event that has had declining TV ratings for a long time.

If he wanted to address the nation, he could do it in primetime on several different channels. Doing it at the Oscars, which used to be an interesting event about 20 years ago, is a great way to make sure nobody watches.

Schumer even making the suggestion just goes to how detached from reality Hollywood is from the rest of the world. Only someone living with their head in the clouds would think the leader of a country at war has time for the Oscars.

If Hollywood is that concerned, feel free to donate a bunch of your own money or grab some gear and get in the fight. Virtue signaling by having Zelenskyy address the Oscars is the dumbest option on the table by far.
