A man allegedly tore a woman’s clothes and groped her during a sex attack inside a New York subway station, police said Tuesday.

The attack occurred March 24 at around 7:10 a.m. inside the Prospect Park station in Brooklyn, police said, according to NBC New York. The 23-year-old woman, who was not identified, was walking down the stairs of the subway station and headed toward a southbound train when the suspect approached her and attacked her, NBC New York reported.

The man supposedly threw the woman against the bars that separate the stairs from the subway platform before covering her mouth, tearing her clothes, and groping her, the outlet said. The man allegedly touched her breasts, according to the New York Post.

The suspect fled the scene, ending the attack when another patron walked by, the Post reported. Despite being groped by the man, the victim did not sustain any physical injuries, the outlet said.

NYPD Crime Stoppers released a photo of the suspect involved in the attack Tuesday via their Twitter feed.
