Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel is expected to be fired at any moment.
The Lakers played their final regular season game Monday and finished with an abysmal record of 33-49. Now, the Lakers are reportedly moving on. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
Vogel could be told of the decision to fire him “as soon as Monday,” according to Adrian Wojnarowski (who blocked me on Twitter for unknown reasons).
Frank Vogel has coached his final game for the Lakers, a decision that’s expected to be shared with him as soon as Monday, sources tell ESPN. Lakers’ search expected to be lengthy and expansive with no clear initial frontrunner.

Vogel led the Lakers to the 2020 NBA Championship and assuredly will be a candidate again in the league’s future head coaching cycles.

As I said when word first came out that Vogel was likely going to be fired, it is amazing how far the Lakers have fallen from grace. Just a couple seasons ago, LeBron James and the franchise won the NBA title.

Now, Vogel is going to get fired and the franchise is engulfed by chaos. It’s almost like everything LeBron James touches eventually turns to garbage!
I don’t know how anyone could look at this situation and say differently!

In just a couple short years, the Lakers went from being the best team in the league to being 16 games under .500. It really doesn’t get much worse. It’s incredibly embarrassing how the team has fallen apart, and Vogel will now be hung out to dry when he really didn’t have much control to begin with.
LeBron James and the Lakers have been eliminated from playoff contention, and I’m not shedding any tears.

It should be interesting to see who the Lakers hire next! I’m sure LeBron James will also torch his career too!
