John Daly’s diet while in college was downright absurd.

In a resurfaced clip from an interview with Graham Bensinger, the legendary golfer was asked about the diet he had in college at Arkansas to lose weight, and his answer was downright absurd. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Daly claimed he ate popcorn and drank Jack Daniel’s for several months in order to cut weight. Think I’m making that up? Fire up the clip below.

The legend of John Daly truly never stops growing. With every new story that comes out about him, we learn something even crazier and more absurd than the last thing we learned.

Whether it’s ripping cigs while on the course or apparently hammering booze and popcorn to lose weight, every story is golden.

I can’t imagine what it’s like to live John Daly’s life. While a lot of college students hit the booze pretty hard in-between classes, they also tend to eat a lot.

I can’t imagine only having to survive on whiskey and popcorn. The hangovers must be absolutely unbearable without a full stomach. I’m starting to get sick just thinking about it.

Fortunately for Daly, nothing seems to slow him down, and I’m sure he had no problem surviving on popcorn and Jack Daniel’s.
