Famous rapper Metro Boomin is mourning the loss of his mother after her husband allegedly killed her and took his own life Friday.
Leslie Joanna Wayne was allegedly killed by her spouse just outside of the Atlanta area, according to TMZ. It is believed that police discovered Wayne’s body, but her exact cause of death and the details surrounding the tragedy have not been revealed, the outlet reported. The family is awaiting the results of an autopsy at this time, according to a representative who spoke with TMZ.

Metro Boomin has famously produced music for and has collaborated with the likes of Future, Travis Scott, Drake, Kanye West, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage and Young Thug. He’s a prominent figure on the rap scene and has maintained a very close bond with his mother, often posting about her on his social media outlets, according to TMZ. Wayne is said to have been a huge supporter of her son’s musical talents, and she encouraged him to pursue his dreams in the world of music, according to TMZ. She drove Metro Boomin to and from appointments to collaborate with other artists, and was incredibly close with her son, the outlet reported.
