Kevin Costner is very aware that the scenery of “Yellowstone” is a major draw for fans.

As anyone who has ever watched the hit show knows, the scenery and nature of Montana is more or less a character in the show. We see incredible shots of the mountains, fields, rivers and everything in between. (REVIEW: ‘Yellowstone’ Season 4 Finale Shocks Fans With Major Death)

To call it beautiful would be an understatement, and Costner thinks fans appreciate the hell out of the backdrop of the series.

“I don’t think people will ever tire of images of running rivers through mountains that have withstood the test of time,” Costner said on “Good Morning America” when talking about how the environment of Montana has helped boost the show.

It’s honestly hard to disagree with Costner. In fact, I’d argue that it’s impossible to disagree with Costner’s assessment of the situation.

One of the first things I noticed when I saw the first trailer for “Yellowstone” years ago were all the sweeping shots of the outdoors and nature.

The show was clearly being targeted in part to outdoorsmen, and I think it’s safe to say the strategy worked. It’s the best show on TV, and I’m not sure there’s a close second.

Taylor Sheridan knew what he was doing every step of the way, and that’s why the series resonates with millions of people.
