An unidentified man launched an unprovoked punch at the mayor of Louisville, Kentucky, in public Saturday.
Democratic Mayor Greg Fischer was standing at a public event in Louisville when the alleged assailant approached him. The man proceeded to punch Fischer and knock him to the ground, according to footage shared on Twitter.

The suspect was able to leave the scene in the ensuing disorder while bystanders tended to Fischer, the footage appears to show. This incident comes after a left-wing activist allegedly tried to assassinate Democratic Louisville mayoral candidate Craig Greenberg in February.
