Rapper Lil Tjay was shot shortly after midnight Wednesday in Edgewater, New Jersey and has been rushed into emergency surgery.
Two shooting sites, a Chipotle restaurant and a nearby Exxon Gas station, are now the subject of a police investigation, according to TMZ. The victim at the restaurant was reportedly shot several times, and the victim at the gas station sustained one gunshot wound, according to TMZ. It remains unclear where Lil Tjay sustained a gunshot wound, the outlet reported.

The Bergen County Prosecutors Office said the major crimes unit and Edgewater PD are actively investigating both shootings and searching for suspects at this time, according to The Sun. The identity of the second shooting victim has not yet been confirmed.

French Montana issued a Tweet Monday morning asking fans to pray for Tjay’s recovery.
Lil Tjay first gained attention in the rap scene in 2018, after rising to fame with the release of his hit single “Resume.” This single got the attention of Columbia Records, and Lil Tjay was signed to their label that same year, according to The Sun.
