MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski said the conflict between Democrats and Republicans is a battle between “good and evil” on “Morning Joe” Wednesday.

Brzezinski warned of the Trump-endorsed Republican candidates who have achieved victories in their primaries, then argued a differentiation has to be made between “good and evil.”

“I agree with you about this risk, I don’t think it’s honest, either,” she said. “We really do want to make a differentiation between Democrats and Republicans, and I’m sorry, good and evil at this point.”

The host responded to Crooked Media Editor-in-Chief Brian Beutler’s op-ed for The New York Times pressuring Democrats are “blessed” to run against a party “that has reorganized itself around lying, cheating and corruption.”

Beutler, who joined “Morning Joe,” argued Democrats have to target Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and Doug Mastriano on elevating election fraud claims. (RELATED: ‘Watch The Prairie Dogs Blow Up’: Mika, Joe Mock Republicans Over 2nd Amendment)

“A lot of Republican voters are unfortunately going to hear that and [think it’s] a good reason to vote for her,” he said. “There’s no way to affect neutrality here. But what I think Democrats can do is tell a consistent story starting in the primary and going through the general election of what is about Kari Lake and Doug Mastriano that is extra dangerous.”

In the op-ed, Beutler argued that Democrats are enabling the victories of far-right candidates by pivoting from the January 6 riot and instead relying on “kitchen table issues.”

“There’s no need for the party to pull tricks in Republican primaries,” Beutler wrote, “and there’s certainly no need to pivot away from lurid themes like the attempted coup of last winter to milquetoast and counterproductive appeals about kitchen table issues.”
