Michael Tyler, known as Mystikal, was arrested in Louisiana on Sunday on a first-degree rape charge in relation to domestic abuse.

This is the third round of rape charges that have plagued Mystikal’s career, according to WBRZ News. A representative for the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s office indicated there has been no bond set, and Mystikal has not yet been before a judge, according to TMZ. Police attended a hospital to obtain information from an alleged sexual assault victim and initiate an investigation, at which time Mystikal was identified as the alleged attacker, according to TMZ.

The hospitalized victim is said to have displayed minor injuries during the alleged incident, according to TMZ. The statement given to police was enough to substantiate the rapper’s immediate arrest, the outlet reported.

Mystikal faced repeated rape charges in recent years, including a recent charge in 2017, which was also filed against him in Louisianna, according to TMZ. That particular incident resulted in all charges against the rapper being dropped due to a lack of evidence, the outlet reported. (RELATED: REPORT: One Of R. In 2003, Mystikal pleaded guilty to the sexual battery charges brought against him, for which he served six years behind bars, according to TMZ.

There has been no word from Mystikal’s camp about this latest round of charges, and the victim in this matter has not yet been identified.
