Republican Indiana Rep. Jim Banks said Tuesday that former President Donald Trump has “made up his mind” about running for office in 2024.

Banks met with Trump at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Tuesday night, where he claims the former president was “very upbeat” and has “made up his mind” about running again in 2024, according to Fox News. Trump will reportedly make the public aware of his decision in “a matter of time,” Banks told the outlet.

The Indiana lawmaker was joined by members of the House Republican Study Committee (RSC) at the New Jersey club, the outlet continued. “He didn’t seem defeated in the least bit — he was very fired up, very upbeat,” Banks reportedly said of Trump’s attitude following the FBI raid on his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida on Monday.

Banks and other members of the committee spoke to the former president for three hours about “what House Republicans are doing now to win back the majority and what we are going to do with it when we win,” the lawmaker explained.

“He said we are going to like his decision and it is only a matter of time before he will make that decision known,” Banks continued, noting Trump was appreciative of the “encouragement” he received from RSC members Tuesday following the raid. Apparently he will “get the decision out sooner rather than later,” Banks told Fox. (RELATED: REPORT: Judge Who Approved FBI Raid On Trump Linked To Jeffrey Epstein)

“He only helps us win back more seats in November,” Banks continued. “The Republican Party is bigger and stronger than ever before because of Donald Trump’s leadership.”

In May, reports suggested Trump will definitely be running in 2024, but he has yet to make an official announcement. You can watch the full interview here:
