Netflix just dropped the trailer for “Sins of Our Mother,” and it looks like yet another epic, chilling and shocking story about one of America’s wildest families and cults.

The three-part Netflix docuseries follows the life of Lori Vallow, who is currently on trial for multiple counts including conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree murder in connection to a series of deaths, including two of her youngest children, according to Fox News. One of Vallow’s children, Colby, is leading the charge of the story, providing exclusive information on his family’s life as well as the current events surrounding his mother, Netflix noted.

I’ve spent a large chunk of time reading through the case and timeline of events surrounding Vallow’s life, and there’s really no succinct way of describing what happened to this woman. There are more than 1,000 court documents related to the mind-blowing case that led a simple suburban mother to become a fanatic of the apocalypse, Insider noted.

From what I can gather, Vallow ended up marrying a man called Chad Daybell, who by all accounts was a bit of a doomsday cult-type, according to Newsweek. Once together, Vallow and Daybell started evaluating people on a scale of “light” to “dark,” referring to their relationships with God or Satan, the outlet noted. (RELATED: Alleged Sexual Abuse Victims Of Famous Actor Speak Out In New Trailer)

Those who fell into the latter had to have their souls “freed” through a bodily death, according to the trailer. That still leaves so many questions that hopefully this new documentary will answer.
