The Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams ended their joint practice early on Thursday following a massive brawl.
The melee occurred when Bengals’ La’el Collins reportedly took off Leonard Floyd’s helmet of the Rams and threw it at him. Players of both teams began engaging in a heated scuffle that led to the cancellation of the practice.

Following the practice, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said “emotions run high” and that the teams have been “working together for two days now, and that’s just some really competitive guys getting into it a little bit.” Rams head coach, Sean McVay, said that “fortunately, my understanding is nobody got hurt and we’ll move on from it. Not going to make a bigger deal than what it is.”
The battle-royal comes months after the two squads met in Super Bowl 56, where Los Angeles defeated Cincinnati in a thrilling 23-20 ball game.
The Rams and Bengals will play against each other Saturday in Cincinnati to cap off the pre-season.
