“Gilmore Girls” star Scott Patterson, who portrayed leading man Luke Danes in the iconic series, expressed his disdain for one particular episode of the show on his podcast Monday.

During the “Was that Necessary” episode of Patterson’s “I Am All In” podcast, he reviewed a scene from season three of the hit series titled “Keg! Max.” The scene features characters Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) discussing Luke’s butt after Lorelai accidentally rests her hand on it.

Lorelai mentions Patterson’s butt multiple times throughout the scene, which was shared on YouTube. Clearly Patterson did not appreciate the objectification of his behind.

“That was disturbing. I realized it wasn’t okay, and it didn’t make me feel comfortable at all. It made me feel really embarrassed, actually,” Patterson said on the podcast. “It is infuriating to be treated that way — it is infuriating — because you’re being treated like an object. It’s disturbing, and it’s disgusting. And I had to endure that through that entire scene and many takes.”

“It was all about the butt, the butt, the butt, the butt. When we weren’t filming, we were sitting down — people were still talking about the butt, the butt, the butt,” he continued. “It was the most disturbing time I have ever spent on that set, and I couldn’t wait for that day to be over.” The whole experience left Patterson with a “level of shame” for not having shared his concerns with “Gilmore Girls” creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, he continued.

Patterson expressed concerns that the scene might have had an impact on his career, asking “What are Academy members gonna say when they see this scene?” It’s unclear whether anyone involved in the Academy Awards had strong feelings about Patterson’s butt, but he feels he’s “still paying the price for it.” (RELATED: ‘I Was Just A Body, A Receptacle For His Desires’: Mena Suvari Describes Being Manipulated Into Having Threesomes)

Patterson starred in the series for seven years and returned to Stars Hollow for a four-episode revival in 2016, according to his IMDB. Since then, he’s taken part in a variety of other projects, with several on their way to release.
