Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans sent New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore flying in an altercation during Sunday’s game.

Lattimore had gotten into a shouting match with Bucs quarterback Tom Brady and Bucs running back Leonard Fournette. This clearly annoyed the heck out of Evans, who stormed the field to defend his quarterback, according to the New York Post. The incident caused officials to eject both Lattimore and Evans from the game, the outlet continued.

As Evans spoke to the referee after the altercation, he said, “That’s Tom Brady, what do you want me to do?” according to a video clip shared on Twitter. The Bucs went on to beat the Saints 20-10, but that didn’t stop Evans from further elaborating on the situation afterwards, the Post noted.

“It gets spicy when you come to New Orleans,” Evans said, according to Sports Illustrated. “All I see is Lattimore punching Lee [Fournette] in the face or something like that and then pushed Tom. That’s all I saw. I just pushed him.” (RELATED: REPORT: Tom Brady And Wife Gisele Are Fighting Over His Return To Football)

This is far from the first time Evans and Lattimore have had trouble, SI continued. In 2017, a former Bucs player kept poking Lattimore in the back of his helmet after a play, leading Lattimore to start chirping, the outlet reported. Evans quickly stepped in with what Evans himself admitted was a “really cheap shot” on the defensive back, SI noted.
