A former chef for the royal family revealed the one and only dish Queen Elizabeth II ever sent back during a Sunday interview with CNN.

The Queen’s former chef, John Higgins, said that the only dish the Queen ever sent back was for her corgis, according to CNN.

Higgins told CNN he tried to cook the hares and rabbits faster by putting them through the meat grinder.

“I learned a lot of simple things, you know, treat everyone equally, even the royal dogs,” Higgins said during the interview. (RELATED: REPORT: Queen Elizabeth II ‘Devastated’ After Puppy Brought In To Cheer Her Up Dies)

Higgins said the Queen was very gracious and respectful. “It was very simple. It was just great product cooked very simply with a lot of great technique,” Higgins said during the CNN segment, speaking about what it was like to cook for the Queen.

The Queen passed away Sept. 8 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland while under medical supervision. She ruled the British Isles and Commonwealth for over 70 years, making her the longest-ruling monarch in British history.

The Queen’s funeral is being held Monday at Westminster Abbey. Dignitaries from across the world are expected to gather to lay the Queen to rest.
