Actor and entertainment mogul Tyler Perry opened up about living with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during an interview Wednesday.

Perry, 53, was being interviewed on “Today with Hoda & Jenna” when the conversation turned to the royals, as seen in a clip shared by “Today.” Prince Harry and his wife were offered sanctuary by Perry after they decided to step away from royal life in the U.K., which the actor described as “a very difficult time for them.”

His comments largely focused on the couple’s personal relationship. “What I know about the two of them, that I wish the world knew, is how much they love — these two people love each other,” he said. “They found each other — out of all these odds against them finding each other, they found each other. The love they have is really, really moving, and I just wanted to do anything I could to support them.”

The Prince and Markle moved into Perry’s $18 million home in May 2020, according to the New York Post. The pair reportedly met Perry through their mutual friend Oprah Winfrey, the outlet noted. (RELATED: Meghan Markle ‘Started To Sweat’ When Mariah Carey Mocked Her ‘Diva Moments’ During A Podcast)

Unprompted, Perry continued to tell hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager about the love the royal couple share. “If I don’t have that, what she and Harry have, I don’t want it — that’s really amazing,” he said. You can watch the full interview below.
