There was a goose on the loose during Wednesday night’s matchup between the Padres and the Dodgers.

Video footage captured the moment the goose made a crash landing on the left field in the middle of the eighth inning, at the Dodger Stadium. The poor thing looks like it took a hard hit on its way down. The rough landing must have stunned the goose as it sat still while two men gently removed it from the field.

The wild goose came soaring through pretty quickly but the landing was abrupt. It spent a few seconds just sitting awkwardly until two men approached armed with a towel and a recycling bin. The goose seemed harmless and looked on, as if trying to figure out its surroundings. The men threw a towel over it, then gently scooped it up and placed it into the bin.

Fans were highly entertained by the experience and loud ‘boo’s’ could be heard roaring through the seats when the towel was placed on top of the goose. (RELATED: Watch As Breastfeeding Mom Rescues Her Pet Goose From Bald Eagle)

Gavin Lux singled off Nick Martinez while the goose was still captivating the crowd simply by sitting on the field, according to CBS Sports.

Nearly 800,000 people have viewed the video at the time of publication, and the number continues to grow.
