Jonah Hill will reportedly take on the character of professional golfer John Daly in a biopic, and will produce the project through his company Strong Baby Productions, alongside Hideout Pictures.

Daly has long been considered the “Bad Boy Of Golf,” and is often associated with his heavy drinking and for chain smoking cigarettes. The biopic will do a deep dive into everything from the scandals to the athletic achievements of the legendary golfer, according to Above the Line. Daly won the 1991 PGA Championship, as well as the 1995 Open Championship, and took home a total of five PGA Tour titles over the course of his career, according to Yahoo Sports.

Hill has extensive industry experience to bring to the table. He’s a two-time Oscar nominee for his role in “Moneyball” and “The Wolf Of Wall Street,” and has experience as a director in projects, such as the A24 film “Mid90” and “Stutz,” according to Yahoo Sports.

The director for this biopic is reported to be Anthony Maras, the mastermind behind “Hotel Mumbai,” and also brings an impressive portfolio of experience to the table to further enhance this film. (RELATED: Jonah Hill Won’t Promote His Own Movies In An Effort To Prevent Anxiety Attacks)
