Megyn Kelly urged former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, who left the Democratic party earlier in October, to run with Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem on a presidential ticket.

Kelly told Noem in a past interview that a Gabbard/Noem ticket would be “amazing” and the “best-looking ticket.” She commended Gabbard for being “a reasonable person” and being able to criticize her former party. During Friday’s interview with Gabbard on Sirius XM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly revived the idea of Gabbard potentially running for president with the South Dakota governor.

Gabbard said she and Noem are good friends and have a good working relationship due to their shared “values and principles.”

“Kristi is, she’s a dear friend and like she said, she and I were very disciplined and worked out regularly with our bipartisan workout group back when we were back in Washington, and I respect her for the reasons that she talked about,” Gabbard said. “A friendship that’s based on respect, that’s personal as well as professional, and understanding what’s most important. It’s these values and principles that we share as fellow Americans, and focusing on, ‘What are the things that we can do together,’ because there is so much there.”

“My God, it would be incredibly exciting, maybe I’ll try to dream it,” Kelly said. “Apparently when I dream things they come true, Tulsi. So, I’ll try to dream it.”

Gabbard announced her departure from the Democratic Party in a Twitter post Tuesday, accusing the party of being controlled by an “elitist cabal of warmongers” promoting division and “anti-white wokeism.” She is currently unsure what she plans to do in terms of party affiliation in the near future. “I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that’s under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers who are driven by cowardly woke-ness, who divide us by racializing every issue and stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms that enshrined in our Constitution, who are hostile towards people of faith and spirituality,” Gabbard said.

Kelly then played a clip of Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, taken by her daughter, Alexandra, on Jan. 6, 2021, where Pelosi said she wanted to “punch” former President Donald Trump as the “Stop the Steal” rally protesters marched toward the Capitol.

“I was just wondering how is it that in this moment of peril that they’re describing, that there’s like a perfect camera angle and shot of all of the action?” Gabbard said in response. “That was very strange to me, including what we just heard of. I don’t know if I ever told you this, Megyn, but I grew up doing martial arts, so I ain’t afraid of Nancy Pelosi.”

Gabbard added lawmakers in Congress, like Pelosi, do not represent their constituents and “don’t care about the people.”

Kelly asked Gabbard about how people who are “life-long Democrats” but have grown frustrated with their party can “walk away,” as Gabbard did.

“Walk away, period. Just because there are things that you believe in, or issues that you care about that … may be more aligned with one party than the other, what I encourage people and what I said in my statement when I announced I was leaving the Democratic Party, was I invited other Democrats who feel as I do, other Democrats who are absolutely sickened by this so-called woke, radical ideology that is driving Democratic Party policies today — walk away. Become an Independent as I have,” Gabbard said.
