Famous New York City restaurant Balthazar told late-night talk show host James Corden on Monday that the restaurant’s doors were closed to the celebrity after he allegedly racked up “abusive” complaints from the staff.

“James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago,” restaurateur Keith McNally stated in an Instagram post. The restaurant black-listed Corden after he allegedly overreacted to foibles in the restaurant’s service.

“I don’t often 86 a customer,” McNally added “Today I 86’d Corden. It did not make me laugh,” McNally added, according to TMZ.

In one instance, Corden apparently shouted at a server, “Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far,” after he allegedly found a hair in his food, the post read. The talk show host then allegedly threatened to write “nasty reviews” about the restaurant on Yelp and other platforms. McNally referred to the mistake as “diabolical,” but said that it occasionally happens at every restaurant. “Corden was extremely nasty,” McNally added. Corden also reportedly complained to a server, referred to as M.K., that “a little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk” in his wife’s egg-yolk omelet during an Oct. 9 brunch, according to the post. After remaking the omelet, the restaurant accidentally sided the dish with home fries instead of salad, prompting the late-night host to allegedly explode. “You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!,” he reportedly told M.K., according to the post. Following the incident, the manager, referred to as G., seemingly smoothed things over with complimentary glasses of champagne.

“M.K. was very shaken, but professional that she is, continued to finish her shift,” the post read.
