NASCAR suspended Bubba Wallace on Tuesday for one race after a crash at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday.
Wallace is accused of intentionally crashing Kyle Larson on lap 94, according to NASCAR. NASCAR accused Wallace of violating the group’s code of conduct, which includes “intentionally wrecking or spinning another vehicle, whether or not that vehicle is removed from Competition as a result.”

Larson went high at the exit of 4 on lap 94, which forced Wallace into the wall, the news release said. Wallace then turned and struck the right rear quarter panel of Larson’s car, which spun and hit Christopher Bell. (RELATED: NASCAR Driver Cole Custer Penalized For Trying To Rig Race)
Wallace followed Larson after the wreck to the apron of the track, according to ESPN. After the two drivers got out of their cars, Wallace rushed over to Larson and started shoving him.

“He knows what he did wrong,” Wallace said, ESPN reported. “He wanted to question what I was doing, and he never cleared me.”
“I obviously made an aggressive move into [turn] three, got in low, got loose and chased it up a bit,” Larson said, ESPN reported. “He got to my right front, and it got him tight and into the wall.”
“I knew he was going to retaliate,” Larson added, according to the outlet. “He had a reason to be mad, but his race wasn’t over until he retaliated.”
Wallace apologized in a tweet Monday night.
“I want to apologize for my actions on Sunday following the on-track incident with Kyle Larson and the No. 5 car,” Wallace wrote. “You live and learn, and I intend to learn from this.”
