Santa Barbara Police arrested Andy Dick for burglary after he allegedly broke into a home that was under construction and stole power tools from the garage.

Police responded to a call for a burglary in progress and reportedly saw Dick removing items from the home and trying to flee the property, according to TMZ. Dick was arrested Oct. 13 and remains in jail, awaiting someone to post his $50,000 bail, according to TMZ. The Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office charged Dick with first-degree residential burglary. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge, according to TMZ.

The owner of the burglarized home denied knowing Dick personally and confirmed that the actor was not given permission to be in the home or on the property. The homeowner alleges that Dick removed several power tools from their home, according to TMZ.

Dick posted a video to social media last week showing the inside of what appeared to be an abandoned home, possibly the same house that he allegedly broke into, according to TMZ.(RELATED: Zoey Deutch Robbed Of $300k During Burglary)

Dick’s lawyer, Brian Mathis, said a public defender will take on this case, and indicated they “are confident additional facts will come to light supporting Mr. Dick as this case moves forward,” according to TMZ.

This is Dick’s second arrest in the last six months. He was accused of sexual battery in May and his live stream camera was rolling when police arrived and arrested the disgraced star.
